Backorder Policy
Purchasing
Items which are not currently in stock but available to be purchased are listed as backorders. Because these items are not readily available, and as such cannot be delivered immediately, Exponent Technologies charges an upfront deposit fee of 75% item cost for every back-ordered item. Once back-ordered items are ready to be delivered from Exponent Technologies, you will be charged the remaining amount. If your order contains both in-stock products and products on backorder, it will only be delivered when backorder products become available. If you would like in-stock products to be delivered immediately, please place a separate order for products on backorder.
If for some reason Exponent Technologies is unable to receive a back-ordered item which you have already paid the deposit for, we will immediately let you know by email and refund your deposit, either in store credit or to your original payment method.
Changes In Price
The prices listed for backorder items are subject to change. Because we release items on backorder before we acquire them from our suppliers, the prices we provide are our best estimate of how much we believe each item will cost. However, the costs of international shipping are always changing, and we cannot say with certainty what the items will cost until we receive them.
If price changes are implemented, we will send you an email informing you of the new price, and request confirmation to proceed with your order. If you are not satisfied with the new price, you can cancel your order free of charge, and receive a full refund for any deposits placed – either in store credit or to your original payment method.
Handling & Delivery
An estimated 7 – 14 working days delivery period is provided for each item on backorder at the date of purchase. Because overseas shipping of goods depends on many factors, this estimated delivery date is not guaranteed to be met and may vary.
If Exponent Technologies believes backordered items will not be able to be shipped on the estimated shipping date from our suppliers, we will send you an email notifying you of the delay, and when you may expect the backordered items to delivered. If you are unhappy with the new estimated delivery, you may cancel your backorder and receive a full refund for your deposit.
Cancellation
If for some reason you decide you no longer want the items you purchased on backorder, you can cancel your order and receive a full refund. Orders can only be cancelled before they are shipped. We cannot cancel orders which have already been shipped as they are no longer moving through our network.
